Our client is a trade sector business with a need for an inhouse HR focused Health and Safety guru.  You will be someone that loves a combination role and making a real impact on this SME business.  Working with high net value clients in the education, commercial and residential spaces. This business needs someone to know how to balance the people care factor, with the administration, processes, procedures and risks. 

Reporting through to the Directors you will work together to provide best practice outcomes, balanced with solutions focused results.

Your responsibilities and scope for this role will be as follows:

  • HR Advisory and Employment Management
  • HR Policies and Procedures Management
  • Staff wellbeing and Development
  • Ensuring best practice standards are met and advisory to the Directors
  • Health and Safety Management
  • Onsite inspections and audits
  • Completing Site Specific Plans and Job Safety Analysis documents
  • Toolbox Meetings
  • Project Audits and Contractor Health and Safety Management
  • Maintaining all HR and H&S Records and Inductions
  • Site Inductions
  • Day to Day Office Administration

What will make you successful?

  • The ability to roll up your sleeves and turn your hand to both HR and H&S duties having people at the forefront of everything you do
  • Previous experience managing contractors and employees with health and safety matters
  • HR Degree or Qualified by experience – you are the knowledge champion on all matters HR related
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised and can manage multiple open site jobs at any one time
  • Most importantly you will be personable.  We want someone who knows how to have a chuckle, while getting the job done
