The Role This is a true producing leadership role.
You’ll:

• Own a portfolio of complex, interesting clients

• Be the trusted advisor (not just the compliance person)

• Lead a small, capable team (including a CA-qualified accountant)

• Stay hands-on with the work you enjoy

• Work closely with a Director who respects your autonomy

Day-to-day includes:

• Financial statements, tax returns & planning

• Running client meetings and building relationships

• Reviewing work and mentoring your team

• Driving workflow, quality, and efficiency

• Using modern tools (Xero, reporting tools, AI where useful)

Who This Will Suit This role is ideal if you:

• Are CA qualified with solid NZ public practice experience

• Have worked in reputable firms and know your craft

• Enjoy client relationships but don’t want the grind

• Like leading people — but not managing chaos
