The Role
As a BAS Accountant, you’ll play a key role in providing tailored accounting, compliance, and advisory services to a range of clients. This is more than just a number-crunching role — we’re looking for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships and really knows how to show care and build rapport.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Preparing GST returns, annual financial statements, and tax returns
Tax arrears and cashflow planning
Supporting business clients with Xero and other cloud-based accounting systems
Assisting with IRD queries and general business advisory
Building strong, lasting relationships with clients and the wider team
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of BAS experience in a New Zealand accounting practice
Solid understanding of NZ tax compliance and SME business needs
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
Someone who enjoys being part of a local community and values work-life balance
