This is a fast paced business producing a range of food products from sauces, spices, rubs and a new crumb blend in the pipeline.  We are looking for a true foodie who is passionate about quality who loves working with the production line to ensure the top quality products are released, along with product development for new ranges being tested.  Part of this role is taste therefore it is essential you not only have the practical skills, but the love for food.

Start 2021 with a new role.  This is a 6 month assignment 32 hours a week, 4 days a week.  Monday to Thursday.  Hours are currently 2pm to 10.30pm subject to change when night shift changes and could go through to midnight.

The key responsibilities include:

• To inspect incoming raw materials at receipt
• To inspect and test to set parameters each batch of manufactured product, including label checks
• GMP/Pre-start/Post-production inspection
• Raising non-conformances and investigation of these
• Certificates of analysis compilation
• Rework and aged stock evaluation
• On line factory checks including but not limited to; metal detection, magnets, sieves, sanitation, random weight,
• Ensuring equipment calibration is as per schedule and records are up to date
• Environmental monitoring
• Internal Auditing
• Preparation and dispatch of product samples for testing – Micro and Chemical.

To be successful you will need to have:

• Diploma in Food Science or Food Technology
• Current HACCP Training 
• Attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Work well autonomously
• At least 2 year’s experience in a QA/QC role in a food manufacturing or food technology operation
• Your own transport and a full clean drivers licence (you will be driving home after 10pm)
