Production Team Leader - East Tamaki

Our client is a global food manufacturing business that has invested significantly in the manufacturing plant in East Tamaki - Auckland.  With growth across the markets we have the need to run a split shift in the afternoons and evenings.  This means we need that great Team Leader who can not only lead and inspire but also roll up the sleeves and work on the line.
  
What you are required to do?

  • Manage a team of 5 to achieve production schedule

  • Working on the line

  • Investigate product non-conformances, and associated reporting

  • Ensure that both quality and safety requirements are being upheld and met

  • Supervise clean down processes & ensure associated procedures are being followed

  • Training and onboarding of staff

  • Special projects and new initiatives

  
Hours:
This is a Monday to Friday shift where the working hours are currently 1-1.30pm start; attend meetings prior to your team starting at 2.30pm.  Your production team is currently working 2.30pm to 11pm with some nights overtime finishing at midnight.
  
What you will need to be successful:

  • Proven team leader experience – 2 years minimum as a supervisor

  • Food Manufacturing experience

  • Excellent understanding of HACCP & GMP

  • Full Drivers licence

  • The ability to work Monday to Friday between 1pm – midnight (the hours vary depending on the production schedule – some days you will start at 1pm some at 1.30pm

  • Great communication – you are the link between your team and senior management

The ability to work on a physical line lifting 10-15kg bags
